I absolutely love Google Docs. I use the application for school, for work, and even for personal reasons (like co-creating a vacation itinerary with a friend). Google Docs allows for multiple users to type, edit, and converse in real time on a document. The technology also allows for cloud-based storage and sharing, as well as allows for users to access it from anywhere. Aka: Multiple students can all work on writing an assignment together regardless of spacial distance, location, or time.
For our class group project, first my group discussed via email how we would be approaching the project as a whole as well as this particular assignment. Then we utilized a Google Document in order to collaborate on writing and editing our assignment, as well as to brainstorm for the assignment and converse in general. One of the challenges, as with any group project of course, is overcoming time constraints (i.e. one person is able to work at a certain time while another is unable). Google Docs, therefore, makes it simple for everyone to contribute without the issue of time getting in the way.

Google Docs really is a great tool to have and I agree with you that the chat is extremely helpful! My group felt the same way towards everything. It is way easier to use google docs rather than email and being able to work on the assignment all at the same time without physically being together is definitely useful.

It was nice hearing that you are very familiar with Google Docs and enjoy using it. This project was my first time using Google Docs and I was not sure if it would be something I would continue to use. I did think it was easy and efficient though. Hearing you rave about it and use it frequently made me think I would probably use it more in the future. I really like the added how you use it for personal use as well. I never even thought of that. I simply thought of all the groupwork I could use it for, and that was it. Hearing how you successfully used it for a vacation itinerary with a friend made me realize Google Docs can be used for fun as well.

Google docs is an amazing collaborative tool that can be used for many projects. I have used it for many different projects here at school. There are also alot of other great collaborative tools that Google offers like forms, sheets, and power point. It is great as you can chat on them while working simultaneously from different locations.

I honestly have never thought to use Google Doc other than for school projects. It was interesting to read that you have used google doc to collaborate with friends about a vacation, smart! Time always seems to be an issue when working on group projects, so google docs definatley helps time issues because you can access the doc at any time in any place!
